Viewing Amped Events in Google Analytics

It is possible to see the performance of Amped directly from inside of your Google Analytics Account. This is accomplished by triggering “Google Analytics Events” from Amped, which is setup on your account.

They show inside of Google Analytics under Behaviors -> Events.

We send events for Amped “[Data] Captured”, “Campaign Started” and “Tap to Text”.

Google Analytics Events triggered by Amped can be customized but by default we send through in this format:

To customize this, in your Amped account, click on the site name on top right and you will see the “Integrations” as an option in the dropdown. Once there, click on “Google Analytics”.

Here is an example of what this looks like in GA:

You can then drill down to Event Category of Amped and view the events:

In setting up the Segment, go to “Conditions” and set the Filter to "Users" and leave as "Include":

Change the Dimension to “Event Category”. The list allows you to type to filter the list as it is lots of options.

Then we need to narrow down to Opt-ins. We can do this by Clicking “AND” which brings up another dimension to narrow down by. Add a filter of Event Action includes “Conversion”

Then all we need to do is give our Segment a name and then hit Save!

This will filter Google Analytics by visitors who have entered their email in from Amped. You can also add back in the built in “All Users” to compare against everyone.

Optional - You can refine a segment to a specific variation of a Campaign.
